Culinary Institute

At the forefront of The Culinary Institute of America - the world-renowned institution that has shaped exceptional culinary professionals since 1946 and operates campuses in New York, California, Texas and beyond - a bespoke design element now marks the main entry with subtle elegance.

Artificial Plants Unlimited crafted a custom boxwood interpretation of the Institute’s signature mark, installed prominently on the facade of the building.  The living-green logo serves as a dynamic frontispiece, bridging architecture and landscape, reflecting the Institute’s deep reverence for fresh ingredients, natural processes and inspired craftsmanship.

Designed for visibility and durability, the installation utilizes premium artificial boxwood foliage, meticulously trimmed into the Institute’s emblematic silhouette, and mounted on an engineered backing that supports the outdoor applications required of a high-visibility campus environment.  The result is a “green crest” that complements the institution’s spirit - where food is culture, craft and community.

This project exemplifies how custom‐green branding elements can elevate institutional architecture, offering both aesthetic refinement and long-term resilience in exterior conditions.
