Knotts Berry Farm
As part of a major interior refresh, Knott’s Berry Farm enlisted Artificial Plants Unlimited to help reimagine the look of the historic Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. Originally opened in the 1940s by Cordelia Knott to serve fried chicken and homemade pies, the beloved eatery had grown outdated and in need of a modern upgrade.
Creative Director Lara Hanneman aimed to revitalize the space with a contemporary feel while staying true to the park’s Western roots. Our solution: custom faux succulent wall décor. These large-scale installations, crafted with hyper-realistic succulents in earthy greens and purples, brought vibrant texture to the restaurant’s wood-paneled walls - bridging rustic charm with modern style.
To complement the new interior, the restaurant’s entrance landscaping was also refreshed. We recommended large planters from the Madera Collection by our sister company, Planters Unlimited. These commercial-grade fiberglass planters mimic the look of natural wood grain while offering durability and low maintenance - ideal for a high-traffic space.
With their clean lines and rugged finish, the planters carried the Old West aesthetic outdoors while reinforcing the updated, modern-ranch design. Together, the framed succulent wall art and matching planters created a cohesive, lasting visual impact that guests will enjoy for years to come.
