Sharp Hospital

When Sharp Grossmont Hospital set out to update the façade of its multi-level parking garage - a prominent structure visible to patients, staff, and visitors daily - they brought in Artificial Plants Unlimited to help deliver a design solution that would elevate the space while aligning with the hospital’s modern architecture.  Recognizing the importance of first impressions, the goal was to transform a utilitarian surface into a warm, welcoming, and brand-conscious feature that felt integrated into the overall campus aesthetic.

To accomplish this, we collaborated closely with the hospital’s design team to create a dynamic façade using a combination of UV-rated artificial greenery and durable, wall-mounted architectural panels.  Manufactured by our sister brand, Planters Unlimited, these custom fiberglass panels feature a Washed Pine woodgrain texture that mimics the organic warmth of wood with the long-lasting strength of commercial-grade materials.  Installed across three distinct vertical sections, the panels serve as a striking backdrop for layers of lush faux plantings - carefully chosen and positioned by Artificial Plants Unlimited to soften the structure and introduce a sense of calm and vitality.  The result is a bold yet low-maintenance installation that enhances the visual identity of the campus while promoting wellness through biophilic design.
